A military jury sentenced Osama bin Laden's former driver to 5 1/2 years in prison for aiding terrorism Thursday, making him eligible for release in just six months, despite prosecutors' pleas to give him no less than 30 years.

    The man was found guilty of being bin laden's driver. He admitted to that, so no big surprise there. He was not found guilty of activities that directly caused 9/11, etc. He drove a car around. That's all the prosecution proved. 5 1/2 years seems a reasonable sentence to me.30 years would have been....well....bizarre.

      If you are found guilty of driving a car for an armed robber you can get life but drive a terrorist around and you only get 5 1/2 years. Seems to me that something is wrong here.
