The cons simply will not quit on this issue and neither will gays and lesbians. It is purely prejudicial behavior that keeps them motivated. The lower court already ruled that gays and lesbians have rights and that the Oregon law passes Constitutional muster. The cons had their chance to defeat civil rights and they lost.

Instead of using all of that energy and money to deny benefits to people, why don't these "conservatives" try to make their own communities better? Why don't they spend some time with their families that they are so concerned about?

Seems like a much better use of time.

Sheesh, hamy, you want them to go home and teach this crap to their children, and perpetuate this willful ignorance another generation? Let them come on out and pick on ME. I'm a big boy, well armed against idiots.

"Under the partnership law, couples who register are guaranteed the right to visit partners in hospital and make medical decisions, file joint state tax returns, and have joint health insurance plans or take sick leave to care for their partners"

Somebody tell me how this threatens society? Hetero marriage?
