A nasty custody case that has raged on for two years and involved courts in two states may be nearing an end. The Virginia Supreme Court is expected to rule in June on whether a parent can take a child from one state to another and use differing laws in the new state to override a ruling by the first.

This case is particularly interesting. I wonder what would happen if Lisa Miller, the so-called "former lesbian" were discovered to be a lesbian still and is really defrauding the system. Her entire argument against her former partner is that she gave up lesbianism to move to Virginia to take advantage of anti-gay bias in the laws. However, her arguments hold no credibility if, for example, she were spotted in the gay bars picking up other women. The part for me that is completely unconvincing is Miller's "former lesbian" claim.

This is the key issue for me...leaving sexuality out of the equation.
