Just one kiss. That's all it took - to get thrown out of the IHOP in Grandview. Two young women sharing a kiss didn't seem inappropriate to the other couple in the restaurant booth that night, Jackie Smith and the woman with whom she shares her life, Toni Smith. But someone watching the scene was offended.

A thousand thanks for sharing this article. Rest assured I will not be eating at IHOP any time soon. The again, where I live, we do not have an IHOP for about 200 miles. I am also not a fan of their powdered eggs. That's right, their scrambled eggs are powdered...no worries about shell fragments. Good luck ladies, and keep up the good fight!

My only problem with this article is that we only go to hear the girls point of view. I understand that the restaurant did a no comment, but the unfortunate truth of PR is that it is better to NC and take a small hit for a couple of days, than to give someone who is on a crusade a quote that they can twist and use to keep the news story alive for weeks.

This is just stupid...people need to get over this already. Being black I understand this degree of ignorance, it amazes me that we think of ourselves as being superior and more civilized but yet we act like cavemen on certain issues. So they are gay, and they kiss, guess what if your kid is gay they are gay there is no changing that...I am not gay so I know watching two Gay people kiss will not make me gay, I also know it will not make my kids gay either. So stupid, stop worrying just like black it doesn't rub off on ya.

GOOD for IHOP - I will go out of my way to give them more business now.

As a parent, trying to instill good morals in my children, I want to be able to eat a meal and NOT have to worry about the examples my children see.

Children's minds are very impressionable, and at a young age are unable to distinguish good from bad much of the time, but just take in everything as "normal", even when it is not!

And, let's be CLEAR, and not naive, things like this do not stop with a "kiss" - that is the START - next comes more kissing, then hugging, then public groping and God only knows what else! People with loose morals "Test the Boundaries" all the time. If you don't know that, you must have been staying home all your life.

As for me and my kids, IHOP here we come!

This poster says it all in one sentence; did you get it?

"Good luck ladies, and keep up the good fight!"

The message IS - keep up the immoral displays in Public and keep "shoving it in the face of America"!

btw, where do you get two ladies, David, when one is taking the role of a "MAN" and demonstrating it for all to see?

Just what I want to do, go out for dinner and see a couple of rug munchers swapping spit.

I don't eat at Ihop either, I just do not like their food or price. As for the women, HOW WERE THEY KISSING? was it a peck or a lust kiss. If they want to be Queer thats their business but if they were having an sex incounter than they should have been kicked out.

"It was a kiss I would share with my uncle,"

Guess that depends on what kind of relationship you have with your uncle.

If they were kissing, how is that different from straight people kissing?
